I am a huge space nerd. When it comes to pushing the boundaries of human exploration count me in!
Why I would make a great astronaut:
- I am small. This means it will cost less to launch me into orbit, and with the fuel savings you could push me further than most others! Another perk of being small is that I fit better into cramped quarters, and don’t need as much room.
- I am vegetarian. This may sound strange at first, but think about where meat comes from. The livestock required for long duration space flights would be incredible. Not only that, but you would have the food and water requirements, space requirements, and someone would have to clean up after them. Now if I could grow my own food, then I don’t have to worry about where my food is going to come from.
- I am a pilot. I have spent years studying human resources, risk management, aeronautical decision making, and let’s not forget emergency procedures. I would love to prove to people that civilian pilots can be made of the right stuff just as military pilots.
